peanut butter cookie

I just love me a classic peanut butter cookie, with or without a hersheys kiss! The first time i made them from scratch was this past christmas,  i make like 6 dozen or so, and my family loved them so much, there were no leftovers! I decided to make them again recently, i just love them and they are so easy to make, this time i didnt have any kisses for them, they were just as good.

1/2 cup room temp butter

1/2 cup white sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 cup peanut butter, smooth

1 egg

1 1/4 cups of flour

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

pinch of salt

beat the butter until nice and creamy, add the brown sugar and white sugar beat for about 2 more mins. Mix in the peanut butter and egg.

in a separate bowl mix the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and then stir this mix into the sugar butter mix.

wrap the dough in seran wrap and chill for 3 hours, i did mine a little under, it was really late at night.

preheat to 375

make balls, place them on a cookie sheet, and press them with a fork, add kisses if you would like, cook them for 9 mins. I did my first batch for 10 mins and that was just a tad too long. Youll get about 2 dozen from this dough.

enjoy!
