really easy and buttery biscuits

I love biscuits with every meal, and they are best when made from scratch than frozen, although i was raised on frozen ones, so im not opposed them now and then. These ones are so fluffy and buttery, i know you cant tell that from my photos, but they are! I really like making them into french toast!

2 cups flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 tablespoon salt

1/2 cup crisco shortening

3/4 cup milk

in a mixing bowl add the flour, baking powder, and salt, cut in shortening with a fork until mixture looks like crumbs. The first time i made these i tried to mix the butter in my mix master, bad idea, its very important to manually cut the shortening with a fork.

pour milk into the mixture while stirring it with a fork until its soft and pulls away from the sides of the bowl

turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surfaced until its no longer sticky

roll the dough out into a 1/2 inch thick sheet and cut with biscuit cutters or cookie cutters. I tend to use a drinking glass. Place them onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 450 for about 10 mins.

enjoy!
