Banana foster french toast

I woke up one morning during this recent pandemic and I was really craving french toast, but we always have the same ole french toast, which is of course really yummy, but I wanted something different. I knew I had lots of really ripe bananas so I came up with this really easy idea and I wasn’t sure if it would work out, but it did and it was soooo delicious, and really fun to make!

So I don’t normally use measurements for things like french toast, but I came up with one for the purpose of this post so here ya go

3 ripe bananas

3 eggs

1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoons Kahlua

mash the bananas really good so they are smooth

add the eggs, milk and Kahlua

mix really well, it’s going to look kind of gross, but it’s okay

dip each slice into the batter and then onto the preheated, oiled pan, I always use extra virgin olive oil, I find i get the best results

transfer to a pan or plate with foil until they are all made, this particular recipe makes about 12 slices

serve with your favorite toppings

enjoy!
